To put on the habit of a pilgrim. To wear the humble cloth of a travler and maintain the constant tread of one who seeks a distant land. To climb mountains and ford rivers in search of a Kingdom that is not of this world.

good quote, albeit from a faithless author. but incredibly talented! check out this story:

I like that story! It remindes me of Ecclesiasties: Vanity, Vantiy, all is vanity and grasping at the wind. Of course, he writes off faith with everything else, but considering how easy it is to go to church and be 'religiouse' and still find it all empty that is not surprising.
glad you liked it. i find it fascinatingly well-written, the way it flows and there is not a stray word in it. would that i had such talent!
true. the religious thing is a constant thorn in the christian's side. but we shall overcome! =D
I read the quote about writing in a book called, "The elements of Style" by William Strunk Jr. and E.B. White, and the main thing they say over and over again is, "Cut unnecessary words!" It seems to be their mantra. Very good book too.
